I am getting a pittbull, boxer and lab mixed dog. he is adorable I get him on the 28 of feb when he will be 8 weeks old.
For anyone who doesn't already know this you should not feed a pitbull beef, lamb or pork. This is one of the reason why pitbulls are hyper and sometimes out of control. They see red meat and they get chemically imbalance which is not good.
If there is anymore Advise you can give me let me know. I have have 11 year old daughter and a 17 month old son and I hear they are great with kids.

I HAVE A BULL/BOXER MIX,HE IS NOW 5 MTHS OLD,I GOT HIM WHEN HE WAS ONLY 9 WKS OLD.HE NOW IS VERY WELL TRAINED TO USE THE BATHROOM OUTSIDE,GOES TO HIS KENNEL ON COMAND,IS FRIENDLY WITH MY CHILDREN(WHOM ARE 7 & 16),& I HAVE TAUGHT HIM HOW TO SIT,STAY,LAY DOWN,SPEAK,COME,& KENNEL UP.ALL WITH TREATS & A CALM BUT STERN VOICE.I ALSO HAVE A 5 YR OLD CHIHUAHUA THAT HE THINKS IS HIS LITTLE BUT OLDER SISTER,THEY GET ALONG GREAT.I ALSO HAVE A 2 YR OLD CAT,HE WANTS TO PLAY WITH HER .MY ADVISE FOR SOMEONE WHO WANTS A BULL/BOXER IS TO GET THEM AS A PUPPY(9 OR 10 WKS)OLD &TRAIN THEM WITH TREAT REWARDS & DISCIPLINE THEM WITH A STERN VOICE & A KENNEL.IF THEY GROW UP AROUND CHILDREN THEY'LL BE MORE LIKELY TO BE FRIENDLY AROUND THEM WHEN THEY GET BIGGER .HOWEVER THEY DO NOT KNOW THIER SIZE,& THEY ARE HYPER JUMP HAPPY DOGS.BUT WITH THE PROPER TRAINING THAT CAN BE CORRECTED FROM THE BEGINNING WHEN THIER STILL A PUPPY.

Okay, well I have a problem...I have a boxer/pit puppy, she is about 9 wks old and she already has a growl...it sometimes is a mean growl but not too bad...Well the problem is that my friend got a puppy too the same kind but its a male, they are bother and sister, but they seem to not get a long...They are always fighting and we have to break them up, they are both really sweet dogs but they just dont get along, do you think if we keep bringing them around eachothert they will get use to eachother or do u think its best to just not have them around eachother? well someone get back to me please and thank you

I have a 2 year old pitbull/boxer mix. He has always loved being around kids, even now. He forgets that he is 86 lbs when he
jumps on the kids, I have to grab him quick.

I raise and breed full blooded american pit bull terriers , I wll tell you that these are not the easiest dogs to train . The best way to train them is to keep them wore out , they are easier to handle and tired pit bull is a happy pit bull . Im not sure about the boxer part of it , never been around them much . Pits are very good with children no matter what you might here and they actually test with a higher temperment testing than most other dogs . Some might be animal aggresive so be sure to ask questions of the person you are getting them from , I would suggest formal training for you and your puppy if you do not have expeirance with dogs , and i dont just mean a little , I MEAN EXPERANCED , if you have any questions feel free to email me at , [email protected] , or you can visit my pages at ,,,,,,,,,, www.mypitbullspace.com/Josh , www.bullydomain.com/local399 , www.myspace.com/mayihaveyourattention [ J

Aceboom123 was the mum of the pups breed with a sibling or son? I ask because it is unusual for that breed to have all white pups unless it has been inbred with a sibling or parent.

I HAVE A 11 WEEK OLD BOXER PIT MIX AND HE IS 16.7 LBS IS THAT WEIGHT OK WITH HIS AGE

The Pitt Bull Boxer mix is called 'Bullboxer' - one word. I find that quite funny, however after rescuing one myself I was interested. Theres a whole new avenue of hybrid dog names to be found!. Good luck with her, we adore ours and with experience in dog training we havnt had a single issue that has caused us concern. Read Cesars book - Be the the Pack Leader. Attend an obedience class, and more than anything make sure the dog is well socialised with other dogs, hunt them out on your walks and correct any anti-social behaviour immediatly on a choke collar, they are smart dogs and learn quickly that your the one ruling the pack. It is a great mix, but also demands alot of dedication to ensure your dog becomes well balanced. Exercise and challengers make these breeds shine :-)

I have a pitbull/boxer mixed 9 week old pup that I rescued from a shelter in northern NJ. He is the most loving, and intelligent dog I have ever been around. He was house-trained in 1 day and learns simple commands like 'sit' or 'down' or 'stay' in UNDER 5 minutes...This dog is definately spoiling me as much as I spoil him,
And for Kathy, the owner of the boxer dogs, it is very good to train your dogs to use their crate because it comes in handy. But by putting your dog in its crate every time it does something wrong is not going to correct the problem. What you are doiing is called 'negative reinforcement training'. You are punishing your dog, and hurting your relationship with him by doing that. You should instead use 'positive reinforcement' and praise him when he does something RIGHT. That is the quickest way to train your pet. It has worked wonders with my new dog. You should also read some training magazines and educate yourself a little better, there are many better ways to train your dog. The only time mine goes in his cage is when he is too excited to listen to commands, I give him a place to cool off for a bit. Also, because I dont consistently punish him with the cage, he has come to love it and think of it as his own domain. He goes there to lay down all the time and mind his own business. Use positive reinforcement, you will love it and so will your dog and you will build an even greater bond between the 2 of you.

PUNISH THE DEED, NOT THE BREED
Anyone who seeks action against any breed of dogs is ignorant to the facts. Especially pitbulls, they are kind, loving, affectionate, and wlel-mannered. There is no 'bad dog' with a 'good owner'. Pets are only reflections of their owners and even the most viscious of animals are still INNOCENT, with only the owner to blame.

I have a year and a half year old female boxer pit mix and she is great with our 5 year old our neighbors 2 year old and 1 year old but is aggressive towards other animals so you should socialize your pup, and put it through obiedience classes.

Name: Lynn | Date: Apr 22nd, 2008 12:59 AM
the mix is crazy hyper and doesnt calm down until 3 or 4 while most pups calm down at the age of 2. join obedience classes and socialize socialize socialize!!! introduce the dog to anyone and everyone and other dogs as well. dont give up.

I AM LOOKIN FOR BRINDLE BOXER PITBULL PUPPIE MIX ANYONE NO WEREI CAN FIND ONE?

Name: Rusty | Date: Apr 29th, 2008 8:24 PM
I just recently addopted a pitbull/boxer mix from a humane shelter. She was the only survivor out of a little of 8. She is about 8wks old now. I have always heard that they have an aggressive nature and I don't want to do anything that would put them in this state of behavior as they grow older. I guess what I am asking is for advice on how to potty train her and correct her when she does things like bite, chew things up, and sometimes seem to play a little over aggressive with our other dog that is 1yr old. Any advice would be very helpful to me for the fact that we have small children in the house as well. Please contact me email at [email protected] or if you have myspace u can look me up at www.myspace.com/djrockinrusty. Thank you!
