i have a 8 month old boxer pitbull and everyone is always comenting on how beautiful she is. Also she loves kids and thinks that every dog in the world wants to play with her. The only problem she has is jumping when she gets excited.

hey thats my name! what i would do is let your dog near the children be near the boxer/pix bull. But hold the dogs collar. then the dog will get used to th cild. If that dose not work contatt the dog wisper

I have a six month old pit/boxer female and sometimes when i take her for walks she grabs the leash , grabs my hands, bites me and growls bad then grabs my pants. Is this because she is a puppy or is it her breed?

I have recently rescued a 2 or 3 year old boxer-pit that was left tied to a tree for nine months, while the people moved out... anyway.. I have been working with him for about 3 weeks, and just wanted to know some tips on how to get him to stay when he is seated? I also wanted to know if getting him neutered would be a good or bad thing? I will give him a good home, I just want to train him to listen so he doesn't snip or jump all over people.

Pit by nature are agressive and boxers by nature are hyper but when you combine the two you get a beautiful cross and a wonderful animal. I have a brother and sister who were abanonded at birth and almost starved in the desert. I brought them home to my 4 and 1 year old boys and they have never had so much fun. They have never shown any agression towards any of us. I cannot even get them to wrestle or "puppy bite" me. I do take precautions like making sure the kids don't pull their ears or tails... you know the basics with any dogs but they are the best thing that happened for my boys. They need some formal training and they can be stubborn but the sweetness makes up for it.

My 3 yr old dog, I do not know her actual breed! People think she is a pit bull, others say she looks like boxer and pit mix, how can I tell? I though she was a pit but I did never see her parents. Can you help?

Name: zman | Date: Nov 5th, 2009 1:16 AM
we have a 13 week old boxer pit mix. she's so cute, but still wetting and messing in house any chance she gets. When does this turn around? we have 5 kids in the house and i'm sure that adds excitement confusion and lack of consistency she probably needs. Are we doomed? she certainly gets enough love and attention, but still shows playful aggression which I don't care for. I worry that this aggression will turn into more and worse as she grows. She's very aggressive with other dogs. Advice?

i own a pitboxer and she is the best. if you want one you should be prepared for a very strong high energy dog. if you dont want a dog you have to exercise than dont freakn get one. i get tired of seeing complaints about this dog for that reason. go get a basset hound. stop the ignorance and reaserch before choosing. these dogs are extreamly people friendly and great with family. mine is the most loving dog i have owned and i have owned 9. i also believe that the pitboxer should be made into a standarised breed.
