I'm going through the same thing! Do you live in Washington? I find that people at school accept my son but my social circle leaves me alone and in the cold. Even my boyfriend.... loves me doesn't want anything to do with my son.

I feel guilty that I don't do more with my son and that I'm seeing a man that has no interest in him.

hi vb
Sorry I haven't written for so long. I'm a bit slack sorry. I'm tired up getting over heavy rain, house leaking, gutters falling off, sick kids and a sick hubby. How is life over your way hope its going well.

Mary,
My heart goes out to you. I can relate to you, in ways. It is so nice that there are places like this.
Knowing people can relate and will listen, not judge.

I can relate. My son is eight months old and was diagnosed with epilepsy. He also has global delays. He is not smiling, playing with toys, or rolling. He does not make much noise. He recently began tracking faces. We are scared for his prognosis. Many tests have been done and all have come back normal, so they do not know what is wrong with him.

hello mary, i am a mother of two also.
my son was just diagnosed autistic at 3yrs old and i have a 7month old girl who could also have some development delays.
i kind of thought my son might be autistic by the time he was 1 and by the time he was 2 i was in denial and was just hoping it was terrible 2's. at 3yrs old he was diagnosed autistic and i got very depressed (why him?!) but now i have accepted that my son is autistic and there is nothing i can do to change that all i can do is help him the best i can and hope he gets better.
i am a stay at home mom also and love it ,but at times it can be frustrating and i just want to pull my hair out.....
we just have to hang in there and things will get better hopefully...

Hi there! I feel like I am seeing myself in ur comments! I had a 2 yr old and then gave birth to triplets. One of them (Riley) is all that you as a parent want your child to be...Alex and Logan have cp, and autism. Needless to say I too have my hands full. I understand your feelings of being alone, I too have lost all friends and any free time I may have i spend alone. I dont have any answers or quick fix for you but I am learning that I take care of me so I can be a better mom to my boys who need so much from me and start looking in the right places like support groups, church and the friends will come.

My oldest kids dont get why every thing has changed either and it hurts my heart ,they see that he dont talk,he crys alot of the day , and it hurts them in some things they want us to do cause my mom passed away two years ago my husband works hard and is gone all day and I have no one that will help me they act like his problem will rub off on them.. So believe me everyday I am right there with you..

hello everyone

Hi Mary, I as well have a 4 yr old with many different diagnoses. I as well stay home to raise our 4 children ranging from 15, 13, 7 and 4., and do the office work for my husbands buissness. My daughter as well has speech therapy, occupational therapy, physiotherapy, a behavoiourlist and has an education assisstant who works with her at school and supports her for her saftey and also helps her with her toileting. I am as well new to this and found this site hoping to talk with people who have similar issues to deal with. I fully understand not having friends, I am as well a social person and find it hard to deal day to day without some release. I also put a chat spot " a child with more than one special need" What are some of the diagnoses with your son? my daughter may have some of the same. Hope to chat with you soon.
